Services

Among the services offered by the Labiofam Entrepreneurial Group are integrated projects for the control of vector-borne epidemic outbreaks by means of biological control and community participation, whose general objective is to limit the population densities of vectors such as mosquitoes, black flies and rodents so as to significantly curb the transmission and avoid outbreaks of diseases like malaria, dengue, yellow fever and leptospirosis, among others.

The specific objectives of this service are:

Dengue: To reduce vector infestation indexes below 0.5%, avoiding inconveniences, outbreaks and epidemics in the target areas by applying Bactivec minidoses and engaging the community.

Malaria: To control the risk of disease transmission through the use of biolarvicides (BACTIVEC and GRISELESF).

Leptospirosis: To control the population of rodents below 15% in cities or 5% in ports and airports, decreasing the transmission rate of this and other diseases transmitted by these vectors and reducing financial losses.

Specifically, Labiofam will provide:

  • Project design
  • Survey of entomological-epidemiological situation and assessment of logistical requirements.
  • Biological products for controlling larval-stage vectors (Bactivec: Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis, serotype H-14 and Griselesf: Bacillus sphaericus, strain 2362) and rodent pests (Biorat: Salmonella enteritidis var Danyzs).
  • Technical assistance for implementing and applying the project, as well as for evaluating results.

The Labiofam Entrepreneurial Group also provides other services, such as Technical Consultancies for the production of veterinarian drugs, Integrated Project Management (IPM), projects for manufacturing plants and production assurance, and projects for the design and construction of laboratories and industrial plants abroad.
