Scientific Program

The Scientific Program of the event will be developed in different modalities. Master conferences will be given by experts of well-known prestige in the national and international sphere. They will deal with aspects of topical interest, which will give greater relevance to the meeting. Moreover, the event will also include symposia and round tables, as well as poster and oral presentations.

Submission of abstracts

Abstracts will be sent to the Scientific Committee by e-mail (labiofam2012@infomed.sld.cu). They will be submitted in digital format, before June 15th, 2012. Abstracts must not exceed 250 words and must be written using 12-point Times New Roman font and single-spaced in letter-sized paper. They must have the following structure: title of the paper (in capital, bold letter), institution, full address, city, country. The Scientific Committee of the 2nd. CONGRES LABIOFAM 2012 will inform on the acceptance of the papers, with no effect on the possibility for the author(s) to participate as delegate(s). The Scientific Committee will define the modality for the presentation of papers.

For poster presentations, an area of 1.20 x 0.80 meters will be allocated. The design is up to the author. It will show the following elements in a visible space: title, author(s), introduction / objectives, materials and methods, results and conclusions.

The registration fee includes:

Professionals and undergraduates students

Name badge; free access to the scientific sessions of the Congress; a briefcase containing the documentation of the meeting (Scientific Program, CD-ROM, notepad and pen); certificate of attendance and/or author; participation in the social activities planned for the Congress.

Accompanying person

Name badge; participation in the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as in the social activities of the meeting; souvenirs.

FAIR-RELATED EXHIBITION

In line with the Congress, a scientific-commercial exhibition will be carried out in the Grand Foyer of the Havana International Conference Center. This will be an excellent occasion for institutions, research centers, companies and specialized firms to exhibit their results, equipment, materials, literature and other elements related to the topics of the event.

The price of the assembled indoor modular stand is 110.00 CUC per square meter. The minimum space to be contracted is 9 square meters. It covers the whole exhibition period.
